I can't imagine how scary that would be to have so much invasion activity going on that close.

The alarm systems are good for making contact with the police. The invaders do tend to avoid homes that have those big signs and window stickers because it's easier to hit the house next door that doesn't have an alarm system.

I occasionally watch the "It takes a criminal" show where an ex-con breaks into houses with the permission of the homeowners in order to show them how vulnerable they are and how fast it is to complete a robbery. Then the show fixes the mess and returns the stuff - giving the home owners the tips and information to protect themselves from future attacks. The follow up is that the same guy comes to break in again at a time when the homeowners don't know - though they do know he will be back - just to see how effectively the homeowners are following the new advice. It's a very interesting show to watch and opens one's eyes to the reality of how careless we can be when we feel untouchable.

thanks Lizzie for your excellent rant (I mean that in the positive sense).

You touch on so many things that are simply over looked or minimized by the medical community and even friends and family. Probably because they just can't relate. The closest applicable experience to help them understand is "pain." And thus they can't understand why the rest can be so frustrating or ... oh! I forget the rest.

Again, THANKS!
jeff.
