I have long wanted a Sony Vaio for my own use. I love to go look at those things and shop for them online. I can never afford to buy one, however, as money is way too tight in the Flynn household. Some people are saving up for a vacation to the beach and some people are saving up for a new car… I’m saving up for a new notebook.
I need to be outside a lot during the day so Mags can play and I can watch her. But I have so much to do on the computer I can’t do that. So Grump is delegated to go outside while I do my thing. Then, of course, I miss out on what she’s doing and time with her. But the time I’m done I’m usually too tired to play and it’s nearly time for dinner anyway. I’d like to be a bit more mobile (and this is also why I’m looking for yet another job).
I work outside of the home 4 days a week on top of that. But during the day those 4 days I’m doing my thing online. That means that I’m going to have to change some things for this summer. I don’t want to be working 2 jobs being away from my little girl. If I could find one good paying job then I would leave my online gig for the times when she’s away with her grandmother or, if I’m feeling extra energetic, while she’s sleeping. I don’t like staying up late, though. Leaves me drained the next day. So, I’m looking at notebooks. I don’t want to not buy my Vaio, but it might come down to that. I might just have to get something a little less expensive with some of the capabilities I need to be outside with the family this summer.
