Blessing
Grump got called back to work. I’m so happy! I was worried about out money situation, but thankfully his plant didn’t shut down. Now I am able to buy that digital frame I’ve had my eye on for pictures of the kids. I’m thrilled. Of course, he goes back the day after Father’s Day, but that’s ok. In 2 weeks we’ll start getting back on track with everything and be able to breathe a huge sigh of relief.
None of the places where I sent my resume have called me back. I’m extremely disappointed in that, however it’s probably best since Grump is going to be back at work during the day now. We thought for sure the plant was going to shut down in this horrid economy. Another plant just laid off a bunch of people and our county is forecasting a huge budget shortfall this year. Gee, I wonder why. Everyone’s laid off. Nothing to do but sit around and hope for something to fall into your lap, pretty much. We’re so incredibly lucky and blessed that Grump gets to go back. Unbelievably so.
I won’t be able to buy that frame right away, of course. But I’m going to put half the money back for it. There are going to be so many cute pictures of the kids this summer and I’d like to put them in there. And maybe switch them out as the seasons change. Maybe I’ll get a couple for my birthday. Ok, maybe not, but it sure would be nice. At least, though, I’m able to plan for that purchase now, instead of wondering if we’ll be able to pay the bills from month to month. A true and honest blessing.
