I had surgery yesterday on my wrist. They took out the ganglion cyst and now I can’t move my wrist at all. It’s wrapped in a non-cast and is to be immobile for the next ten days. Argh. That’s going to take a huge bite out of my job income– I won’t be able to do my job until this splint comes off. And any thoughts of diet pills for a while is put on hold. I’ve got more pain meds to help with the wrist pain and there is no mixing anything with those bad boys.
One of the worst side effects is the difficulty I am having with typing. Typing is good physical therapy, though, as I have to keep wiggling my fingers so they don’t get stiff on me. And what better way to wiggle than to type– very slowly for a while it seems.
I’m glad that the bump is going to be gone at least. When this is all healed and the bandages come off I should have full range of motion and the pressure on my nerve will be gone. I’ll be almost normal again– for me.
