I’m making a blanket

I thought I’d take a moment to update on Pee Wee’s condition.

They’ve decided that she only needs to monitor once a day now and that she needs to keep track of her blood pressure. Luckily, our insurance covers a home blood pressure kit, too. It arrived via Fed Ex a couple of days ago. Also, she only needs to go for regular OB appointments right now. She’s scheduled for an ultrasound today to see how the baby is growing, so that may change. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that all is well.

Of course, Pee Wee has decided that she can blow off taking her medication every four hours. I’m back to playing the mean nurse: “Have you taken your 6:00 pill?” She get annoyed with me, because it interrupts her myspace time. Honestly, though, there really should be a drug rehab program for myspace’ers. It’s crazy how much she gets on there. But, back to what I was saying, I really wish she wasn’t so cavalier about all this. When I see her doctor I’m going to mention this attitude and hopefully someone will be able to scare some sense back into her.

Her overall health seems to be well. Her belly is taking over her body and she’s getting wobbly. The baby moves a lot. I’ve been making a blanket for him, which is an interesting challenge. I’ve only just learned how to knit and the pattern says it’s for “intermediate”. Oops. I’ve ripped it out three or four times already. I think I’m finally making some progress with it, though. Hopefully the blanket will be done by the time the baby is born.
